Notice of Public Hearing – Zoning Ordinance Amendment – Small Schools

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENTION TO ADOPT ORDINANCE

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Hopewell Township at their regularly scheduled public meeting on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Municipal Building at 3336 Bridgeview Road, Stewartstown, Pennsylvania 17363, will hold a public hearing, after which hearing and during which meeting also intends to consider for adoption “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY, ZONING ORDINANCE TO ALLOW FOR SMALL SCHOOLS IN THE CONSERVATION (CV) ZONE”; Section 1 of the Ordinance adds Small Schools as a permitted use in the Conservation Zone; Section 2 of the Ordinance adds Small Schools as an accessory use in the Conservation Zone; Section 3 of the Ordinance amends the specific requirements for Small Schools to add that they are permitted as a principal and accessory use in the Conservation Zone, and to amend the size and type of lots on which they may be placed; Section 4 of the Ordinance provides a repealer; Section 5 adds severability provisions; Section 6 makes the ordinance effective immediately after its approval as provided by law.
