Bid Notice – Municipal Waste Collection

NOTICE

Hopewell Township (“Township”) is accepting bids for an exclusive MUNICIPAL
WASTE COLLECTION contract for residential properties according to two options:
OPTION A – for 2 years and recycling collection for the same years. The contract may,
at the discretion of the Township, be renewed for an additional 3 years on the terms and
conditions stated in the specifications. OPTION B – for 5 years and recycling collection
of the same years, no additional years.

Bids will be accepted until 10:45 a.m. E.D.T., on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the
offices of Hopewell Township, P.O. Box 429, 3336 Bridgeview Road, Stewartstown, PA
17363. The bids will be opened at the Township offices at 11:00 a.m. E.D.T. on
Monday, September 28, 2026. Bids shall only be accepted by first class mail, certified or
registered mail, or hand delivery received by the above deadline. The bids, and the award
of a contract, shall be considered during the Board of Supervisors meeting duly scheduled
for Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

Bid packets consisting of the Municipal Waste Collection Documents are available from
Hopewell Township at the above address, phone number (717) 993-2027. The Bid must
be on a form provided by Hopewell Township which is part of the packet. Bids should
be in a sealed opaque envelope and marked “Bid for an Exclusive Hopewell Township
Residential Municipal Waste Collection Contract”.

The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive any formalities or nonmaterial
defects in its sole discretion, and to reject any and all bids. The Contract will be awarded
to the qualified and responsible bidder stating the lowest cost for the collection, as
calculated per the Bid Documents.
